Russia has cut gas supplies to European countries in response to Europe's imposition of economic sanctions on Russia in response to the Russian attack on Ukraine. Inflation increased in most European countries, including Germany, Italy, France, due to the reduction of gas supply by Russia for almost two months.

Stavanger, Agencies:  Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has accused Russia of spreading economic terrorism. It has been said that Russia has cut gas supplies to European countries, due to which there is a danger of disrupting normal life in cold weather. Electricity and gas prices in gas-starved European countries have risen significantly in recent months. Due to this inflation has increased in them and there is a danger of recession. Zelensky said this via video link at the Energy Conference held in Stavanger city of Norway. In this conference, measures will be explored to deal with the increase in the price of gas. Also, options will be discussed to deal with the situation arising out of Russia's reduction in supplies.

It is noteworthy that Russia has cut gas supplies to European countries in response to the economic sanctions imposed by Europe on Russia in response to the Russian attack on Ukraine. Due to the reduction of gas supply by Russia for almost two months, inflation has increased in most European countries including Germany, Italy, France and there is a danger of recession. At the same time of July-August, European countries also store gas for the cool season beginning in October. But this time only the gas of daily requirement could not be found, storage is far away.

Meanwhile, Germany's Finance Minister Robert Hebeck has said that his country's gas reserves are about 80 percent full. So there is a possibility that soon the prices of gas and electricity will come down. He expressed the possibility that conditions like the Lehman Brothers tragedy would not arise in Europe. Be aware that after the failure of Lehman Brothers Bank of America in 2008, the recession started in the world.
