China launches spacecraft for space station module, delayed by one month
China successfully launched the main module of the space station on 29 April. By the end of next year, China intends to complete the construction of this facility in space. It launched the main module from its largest rocket, Long March-5B.
China on Saturday launched an auto-powered cargo spacecraft. The spacecraft has left with supplies and equipment for China's new space station Tianhe. The Long March-7Y3 rocket, carrying Tianzhu-2, departed from the Wenchang spacecraft launch site in Henan Province. The Tianzhu-2 spacecraft will meet the space station Tianhe. It has carried supplies, equipment and propellant for the space station. It has been launched a month late due to technical reasons.
According to the Global Times, despite the initial delay, Tianzhu-2 has been launched for the first space station's supply mission. On the other hand, 16 new cases of corona virus infection have been confirmed in China on Saturday. It is being told that two officers involved in the new infected have come under the grip of infection locally. According to the National Health Commission (NHC), two locally transmitted cases are from Guangdong province in the south, adjoining Hong Kong. The commission said that other cases of infection are probably from people infected abroad. According to NHC, out of a total of 91,061 cases of infection in mainland China, the number of dead is 4,636.
