Two killed in Russian attack
Russia has increased its offensive in Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia, in addition to eastern Ukraine. These places were attacked with missiles, rockets and artillery-tanks on Saturday and Sunday. Oleh Synyehubov said two people were killed in the Russian attack, while two people, including an 11-year-old child, were killed in Russian shelling in Zaporizhia. Earlier on Saturday, three people were killed in Russian attacks here.
Russia may soon capture Bakhmut city
Meanwhile, Russian troops are reported to have reached the center of the city of Bakhmut in Donetsk province while fighting. They may soon capture the city. The battle to capture this city has been going on for about eight months.
According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian army, the Russian army carried out 40 airstrikes, four missile strikes and 58 rocket attacks in the 24 hours before Sunday morning. Apart from this, there was shelling on many fronts.
It is known that Russia is continuously attacking the nuclear power plants of Ukraine. Most of the country's nuclear power plants are closed to avoid the possibility of a nuclear accident due to such Russian bombing-firing, since a continuous power supply is necessary for cooling equipment in nuclear plants.
The Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant occupied by the Russian army is also included in such plants. This plant can generate 6,000 MW of electricity. The plant was closed in September, as it was too risky to operate due to Russian bombing of the surrounding areas.
