UK promises more arms for Ukraine as Zelenskyy meets Sunak on European tour
Ukraine continues to receive international support amid its ongoing war with Russia. Heads of different countries have visited Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine.
Now British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has also visited Kiev. His visit has come, only 24 days after assuming the post of PM.
Sunak, who arrived in Ukraine 24 days after taking office as Britain's prime minister, made it clear that he would not go back on his predecessor's policy of helping Ukraine.
He said, he will give Ukraine a new air defense package, in which the Ukrainian army will shoot down Russian drones and destroy missiles in the blink of an eye with the weapons found.
What did Rishi Sunak said
Sunak said, Britain knows this is a fight for independence. That's why we are with Ukraine in every way. He has said that Britain will soon give $60 million in military aid to Ukraine. It will also have anti-aircraft guns and technology to find and destroy drones in the sky. With this, Russian missiles can also be destroyed in the sky.
Increase humanitarian aid
"Ukrainian security forces have managed to push back Russian forces on the ground, but attacks from the air on civilians and their points of interest continue," Sunak said. The British Prime Minister said, we are also concerned about the difficulties faced by Ukrainian citizens in cold weather, we will increase humanitarian aid for them.
It was another powerful day for our defense, for our international positions.
