Universities in Shanghai and surrounding cities have said students will be given the option of returning home as soon as possible or staying on campus and being tested every 48 hours, according to news agency AP. There have been frequent reports of clashes between students and authorities at universities during the lockdown in China over the past three years. The students were not allowed to enter the campus, they were locked in the hostel rooms. China has also deleted the mobile app that monitors people from Tuesday. This also ended the apprehension that people from hot spots could be forcibly quarantined. 

At the same time, after the relaxation of restrictions by the government, experts have expressed the possibility of another wave of corona. On the other hand, Reuters news agency quoted China's National Health Commission as saying that 7,679 new cases were registered in the country on December 12, up from 8,838 a day earlier. Overall, the cases are continuously falling in China due to less investigation of people.
