Iraqi police officers killed: At least 8 policemen were killed in a bomb blast in Iraq. At least eight Iraqi federal policemen were killed when a bomb hit their convoy southwest of the oil-rich city of Kirkuk on Sunday, two security sources told Reuters news agency.

The source said the explosion occurred near the village of Safra, some 30 kilometers (20 miles) southwest of Kirkuk, seriously wounding two other policemen. No one immediately claimed responsibility, but Islamic State militants are active in the area. In December 2017, Iraq declared victory over the group that once controlled large parts of the country. 

There was a big explosion on October 20 as well

It is noteworthy that on October 20 this year, there was a bomb blast near the football stadium in Baghdad, the capital of Iraq. About 10 people died in this accident. There 20 people were injured. According to security officials, the blast took place near the football stadium and a cafe located there. A vehicle was used to carry out the attack.

According to the news agency Reuters, a bomb was detonated in a vehicle parked near the football stadium. Which also hit a gas tanker standing nearby. Due to which the blast took a frightening form. It is being told that most of the people killed in the accident are football players, who were present around there at the time of the blast. 

Destroyed 89 Kurdish terrorist bases in Iraq

Turkey was enraged by the bomb blast in Istanbul last days. Kurdish groups were held responsible for this. To avenge this, Turkey destroyed 89 targets including Selterholm and ammunition depots in airstrikes on Kurdish terrorist bases in northern Iraq and northern Syria. The attacks targeted Qandil, Assos and Hakurk in Iraq, and Kobani, Tal Rifat, Cezair and Derik in northern Syria.
