Due to this storm, devastating floods, rains and landslides are expected. This storm will hit the coast of northern Honduras. Sarah has maximum winds of 40 miles per hour.
Earlier forecasts from the National Hurricane Center asked residents of the eastern Gulf of Mexico to keep an eye on the possibility of the storm reaching the US, but now the center believes that the storm will slow down significantly by the time it reaches Central America and Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula.
Sarah is the 18th named storm of the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season. Tropical activity should subside in November, but Sarah is now the third named storm of this month due to exceptionally warm waters caused by climate change.
