WhatsApp introduced QR code support feature for users, will be able to easily transfer old chats to new phones

WhatsApp has recently rolled out a new feature for its users. Now you WhatsApp has introduced a fast way to transfer chat history from old phone to new phone using QR code. If users are switching from a new phone to another phone with the same operating system, they can transfer their WhatsApp data using the new QR code-based transfer method.

How to transfer chat?

To transfer WhatsApp chats from old device to new device, first open WhatsApp on the old device and go to Settings > Chats > Chat transfer. After following these steps, users will be asked to scan a QR code from the new phone to complete the transfer process. It uses Wi-Fi connection. Users need to make sure that both the phones are on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network in order to transfer their chat history using this new method.

Now there will be no need of third party

WhatsApp says that transferring data through the new QR code process is more secure than using third-party apps. It lacks a privacy policy as per Fast Message Service. It's also more private than cloud services, as data is only shared between your two devices and is fully encrypted during the transfer process.

Let us tell you that WhatsApp earlier used cloud backup to transfer data between devices with the same operating system. The new method removes the need to back up chats to the cloud. However, it is still best to back up your data regularly. Using this method, users can back up their chat history and transfer large media files and links instantly.
