WhatsApp launches new features including community feature and in-chat poll, 1024 people will be able to join the group

WhatsApp today announced several new features for its platform. While some of these new features make grouping on WhatsApp more efficient, others make everyday conversations easier. In addition, the Meta-owned messaging app also announced the availability of its Community feature. Let us tell you about these features in detail.

Number of members in whatsapp group

WhatsApp released an update to its platform in May this year, allowing group admins to add up to 512 members to their groups. Today, the company announced that group admins will now be able to add up to 1024 members to a group, which is double the previous limit. 

in-App Poll

Apart from making the group bigger and better, WhatsApp has also introduced a new feature that will enable users to create in-chat polls in group chats. The feature has been in the works for quite some time and once available, it will enable WhatsApp users to create polls with multiple options within a group chat. Let us tell you that WhatsApp has not yet given detailed information about the availability of this feature. 

WhatsApp Community Feature

WhatsApp announced that its Community feature will be available to all users around the world on its Android and iOS apps and on the web in the coming months. Let us know that the company had announced this earlier this year. 

Mark Zuckerberg announced in Facebook post

Announcing this on his Facebook profile, Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Meta, said in a post that today we are launching Communities on WhatsApp. It enhances groups by enabling sub-groups, multiple threads, announcement channels. He also said that all the above mentioned features will help in improving the communities.
