Global Counter Terrorism: Central Asia main partner in global counter terrorism efforts: Ruchira Kamboj

Kamboj said that the importance of Central Asia in the international fight against terrorism was understood. Some countries have been visited by the Counter Terrorism Committee more than once. Initially, the committee visited Uzbekistan for the second time and took stock of the situation.

India's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Ruchira Kamboj on Tuesday chaired the Security Council's Counter-Terrorism Committee on Central Asia. During this, he said in his address that Central Asia is an important partner in international counter-terrorism efforts.

The Committee calls for a 'sustainable and meaningful dialogue' in Central Asia. Ruchira Kamboj tweeted that on Tuesday I got the opportunity to chair the Anti-Terrorism Committee on Central Asia of the Security Council.

It is an honor for me to get the opportunity to chair the Anti-Terrorism Committee from India within five months. Said, the threat of terrorism is a common problem of all the member states. Explaining in detail the remarks of Ruchira Kamboj in the Security Council, the Executive Directorate of the United Nations Anti-Terrorism Committee gave the information by tweeting.

Earlier this month, the committee visited Uzbekistan for the second time to take stock of the situation. 

Special meeting was held on 28-29 October
