The CEO of the company said this - 

Giving information in this post blog, the company's CEO Eric Yuan said that during the Corona epidemic, when the whole world was in captivity, people used the zoom service fiercely. During the 24 months of the epidemic, an increase of up to 3 times was recorded in the number of people using the services of Use due to work from home.

But after the pandemic, there is a period of uncertainties all over the world. In such a situation, many companies are trying to adapt themselves in this new environment. Along with this, he said that with the changing circumstances, we are trying to provide good service to our customers. 

The company will lay off in every segment

Along with this, CEO Eric Yuan said that like other companies, we too have made some mistakes. Due to this we have to take the decision of layoffs. We have to lay off 15% of our total workforce i.e. 1300 people.

The CEO said that US-based affected employees will be given 16 weeks i.e. 4 months salary, health care coverage, corporate bonus for the year 2023 and stock units. On the other hand, the employees of other countries will be given help according to the laws of the countries. 

Along with this, Yuan has decided to reduce his salary by 98 percent in this fiscal year. Along with this, he has informed that he will not even take corporate bonus in 2023. He also wrote that being the CEO and founder of the company, I am responsible for the mistakes made and the steps taken today. In such a situation, he has decided to cut his salary.

Many tech companies have been laid off

Due to the sound of recession in the last few months, many tech companies have laid off their employees. Dell announced on Monday that it had laid off 6,650 of its employees. At the same time, the giant company Google has fired a total of 12,000 employees from January 2023 till now. Apart from this, Twitter, Facebook's parent company Meta, Microsoft have also made layoffs.
