British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said in a statement that President Zelensky's visit to London is a testament to his country's courage, determination, fight and the unwavering friendship between our two countries. "I am proud that we will expand training while ensuring that Ukraine has a capable army to defend its interests in the future," he said.
The statement said Britain would impose sanctions on those helping Russian President Vladimir Putin build personal wealth. Explain that Zelensky visited Britain at a time when the Ukrainian army is fighting a war with Russia.
Britain will continue to help Ukraine
Zelensky had a close relationship with former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson. However, Sunak remains in power in the UK and has promised to continue supporting Ukraine. In such a situation, Ukraine is requesting Western countries and Europe to ensure more military aid and supply of military equipment as soon as possible.
Ukraine's allies have promised to provide Kyiv with hundreds of tanks and armored vehicles along with advanced military weapons to gain a stronger military foothold against Russia. The government said Britain has trained 10,000 Ukrainian soldiers for the war in the past six months and another 20,000 will be trained this year.
