125 Indians brought to India from Thailand after being trapped by fraudsters and held in fraud centres in Myanmar
125 Indian nationals released from Myanmar's Myawaddy confinement centers were repatriated from Thailand to India by a military aircraft. With this, a total of 1,500 Indians released from Myanmar confinement centers have been repatriated via Thailand since March this year, according to the Indian Embassy.

According to the Indian Embassy, with this, a total of 1,500 Indians released from trafficking centers in Myanmar have been repatriated via Thailand since March this year.
As part of the Indian government's efforts to safely repatriate Indians trapped in trafficking centers in Southeast Asia, the Indian Embassy in Bangkok and the Indian Consulate in Chiang Mai Province, Thailand, have worked in close coordination with the Thai government and various agencies in Tak Province to bring back Indian nationals.
The Indian Embassy in Bangkok posted on Xpert that Indian nationals are strongly advised to verify the credentials of foreign employers and check the track record of recruitment agents and companies before accepting job offers abroad. Furthermore, visa-free entry into Thailand for Indian passport holders is only for tourism and short-term business purposes and should not be misused to seek employment in Thailand.
Earlier on Tuesday, 269 Indian nationals, including 11 women, were repatriated via Mae Sot on two special flights operated by the Indian Air Force.
The Indian Embassy in Bangkok and the Indian Consulate in Chiang Mai facilitated the repatriation process by coordinating with various agencies of the Royal Thai Government and the Tak Provincial Administration.
