Ruchira was India's first female ambassador to Bhutan
Earlier, Ruchira was serving as India's ambassador to Bhutan. Kamboj has also served as India's High Commissioner to South Africa and India's Ambassador/Permanent Representative to UNESCO. Ruchira was India's first female ambassador to Bhutan.
India's term at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) will end in December this year when the country will also chair as the president of the powerful UNITED NATIONS for this month. Kamboj had earlier served as a counsellor in India's Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York from 2002-2005.
