11 deaths, including 1 firefighter, in Santa Juana city

Eleven people, including a firefighter, have died in the Santa Juana town of Biobio, about 310 miles (500 km) south of the Chilean capital Santiago. The Agriculture Minister also reported that an emergency-aid helicopter had crashed in the southern region of La Araucania, killing the pilot and a mechanic. 

There is more fire in the forests of Biobio

More fires are burning in the Biobio forests, located about 560 kilometers (348 miles) south of the capital city of Santiago, Al Jazeera reported. A state of emergency has been declared in farming and forestry areas of Biobio and the neighboring region of Newble, CBC News reports. So there the deployment of troops and additional resources has been increased. 

Fleet of 63 aircraft is trying to extinguish the fire

Interior Minister Carolina Toha said hundreds of homes had been damaged by wildfires, while there were 39 fires across the country. Toha has also told reporters that the conditions here are going to get more risky in the coming days. With the help of Brazil and Argentina, a fleet of 63 aircraft is trying to extinguish the fire.

President Gabriel Boric Nubel and Biobio will arrive

Chile's President Gabriel Boric has canceled his summer vacation on Friday. He will travel to Newble and Biobio. Please tell that the total population there is about 2 million. The weather forecast for Friday predicted a temperature of over 38 °C (100 °F) in Chillan, the capital of New Mexico.
