Russia on Thursday launched a major air attack on Ukrainian power plants for the second time this month. Due to this attack, power supply to the central west and southern parts of Ukraine was disrupted. This has affected more than 10 lakh people in the severe cold weather. This was the 11th major attack by Russia on Ukrainian power plants.
Russia on Thursday carried out a major airstrike on Ukraine's power plants for the second time this month. Due to this attack, the power supply of central, western and southern parts of Ukraine came to a standstill. This has affected more than 1 million people in the severe cold weather. This Russian attack has come at a time when the cold wave is near. During that time, the temperature of the affected areas remains close to zero and at that time electricity is needed to keep homes and offices warm.
Russia used cruise missiles and cluster bombs
Ukrainian officials said that this was Russia's 11th major attack on Ukraine's power plants since March this year. More than half of Ukraine's power capacity has been destroyed due to these. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that Russia used cruise missiles and cluster bombs in Thursday's attack.
The Ukrainian Air Force has claimed that out of 91 Russian missiles that came for the attack, 79 and 35 drones were destroyed in the sky itself. In the war that has been going on since February 2022, this month the US and Britain have given Ukraine permission to attack the interior of Russia with their missiles, so in response Russia has given a message of strong response by attacking with its new hypersonic ballistic missile, its attacks have also intensified.
If Ukraine gets nuclear weapons, Russia will attack with full force
If Ukraine gets nuclear weapons, Russia will use all the weapons available to it against it. This was said by Russian President Vladimir Putin in a press conference in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan. Putin's response came in response to a question in which he was asked about the report published in the New York Times which said that US President Joe Biden could give nuclear weapons to Ukraine before leaving office in January.
Putin said that what should we do if the country fighting us becomes a nuclear power? The answer is clear. We will use all the destructive weapons available to us against it.
Putin said, we are keeping an eye on every activity. If someone officially transfers nuclear weapons, it will be a violation of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. He said, Ukraine cannot make nuclear weapons on its own. Yes, it can prepare some dirty bombs in which radioactive elements can be used. Such bombs can harm some people by producing radiation. If Ukraine does such a thing, we will give it a proper answer.
It is known that Ukraine also got nuclear weapons in 1991 at the time of the dissolution of the Soviet Union, but in 1994 it gave them up after getting security assurances from Russia, America and Britain. In response to a question, Putin said that Russia is ready to start unconditional peace talks with Ukraine, but for this Ukraine will have to show willingness.
Russia can target important buildings of Kiev
The Russian President warned that Russia can target the policy making bases of Kiev. These buildings are also under the protection of air defense systems given by Western countries. But Putin has said that no defense system is capable of stopping Russia's new Orsonic hypersonic missile. Therefore the area of battle should not be expanded by using US and British missiles.
