Traffic cameras are dangerous even in the eyes of an eagle, the challan is cut in the blink of an eye; Learn the complete process

The number of drivers committing traffic violations through e-challans has almost doubled last year as compared to those caught on the road.  Till a few years ago, when drivers were stopped for violating traffic rules, they would give countless excuses, argue with traffic policemen and run away without paying the fine.  Now such arguments are almost absent due to e-invoicing, and violators are getting caught on camera.  Let us know how the challan is deducted from the traffic signal.

Hi-tech cameras are installed at the traffic signals, which work 24x7.  At the same time, such high-tech cameras are also installed on the highway, which keep on capturing the violators in the camera.  There is a recording of the vehicles running on the road, whose entire data goes to the control center.  A team is sitting at the control center, which notices the violating vehicles and deducts their challan.

Along with the photo, a short video is also captured as proof of this camera.  If someone breaks the rule then the picture of his car gets clicked and the number of that vehicle is sent to the control center.  The date, time and camera number in the video is encrypted in the image itself, so that even officials cannot tamper with it.  The encrypted image goes from the local server to the central server (police control room).  The data is then sent to VAHAN (National Vehicle Registry Database of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways).  A message is then sent to the phone number which is registered with the vehicle.

For parking violations, no-parking zones are fed into the system.  A time limit is also set and if a vehicle is in the area beyond that time, a violation is registered.
