With this appointment of Jinping, the old norm of appointment of top leaders for a maximum of 10 years will end. This convention will last for a week. In this, 2,296 elected representatives will participate in the secret meeting under the guidelines of Jinping.
He said delegates would attend the 20th CCP National Congress, which would represent more than 96 million CPC members and more than 4.9 million primary-level party organization.
China's most important political event of 2022, and indeed in the coming five years, will be the meeting of the 20th National Congress of the ruling CCP and its 90 million members on 16 October.
