Due to the ban on travel, the travel industry of the whole world has suffered. Hong Kong, which is considered to be the most developed in Asia, is also not untouched by this. Now after the effect of Corona has reduced, Hong Kong has decided to start a new plan to attract tourists from all over the world. 

Hong Kong's tourism industry has suffered since 2019 after months of political strife that at times turned into violent clashes between protesters and police. Also faced the harsh entry restrictions enforced during the pandemic.

Travel between Hong Kong and China fully resumes

'From Monday, travel between Hong Kong and China will fully resume,' Hong Kong leader John Lee told a news briefing on Friday. 

Li said quotas for travelers would be abolished and all border posts would reopen next week.

The announcement came a day after Lee unveiled a tourism campaign aimed at attracting travelers to Hong Kong that includes 500,000 free air tickets for tourists to visit the semi-autonomous Chinese city.

From February 6, most passengers crossing the border between China and Hong Kong will no longer be required to provide a negative PCR test report for COVID-19 prior to travel. Hong Kong and Chinese authorities said on Friday that only people who had traveled abroad within the last seven days would be required to report their negative results.

5 lakh passengers will be able to travel for free

The Hong Kong Tourism Board has launched this offer under the name of Hello, Hong Kong. It has been decided to give free air tickets to about five lakh passengers through thousands of air tickets and vouchers. This will encourage tourism in the country. The Tourism Board has brought out this bumper offer for Hong Kong city tours.

Explain that by 2020, the world's most famous tourist destination Hong Kong had reached five crore 6 million tourists a year before the epidemic started. But, due to Corona restrictions and China's Zero COVID policies, their numbers have declined significantly. Now the city is hoping to recover from the widespread impact of the pandemic through its tourism industry.
