Dogs did not run away even after firing
According to the information, 61-year-old Pamela Jane Rock was out for work on Sunday in Melrose, Florida. His delivery vehicle broke down in the Interlachen Lake Estates area of Putnam County. Then five dogs attacked him. Hearing the woman's scream, the owners of the dogs and the people around rushed to help. One man brought his gun to help and fired several rounds in the air and on the ground to drive the dogs away from the woman.
Dogs licked the woman badly
But the dogs had no effect on them. After much effort, the owner of the dogs and others together saved the woman. But a lot of blood had flowed from the body of the badly injured woman due to the dog attack. The administration was informed about the matter. The officers arrived and gave first aid to the postal worker and put on three tourniquets to stop the bleeding until the ambulance arrived.
Death in hospital
Eyewitnesses said the woman suffered a heart attack on the way to the Putnam Community Medical Center but was revived. She was later shifted to UF Health Shands Trauma Center in Gainesville, where the woman died on Monday evening.
Dogs will be punished
According to Colonel Joseph Wells, Chief Deputy Chief of the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, the matter is being investigated. Authorities have taken into custody the five dogs that attacked the woman. Preliminary investigation found that the dogs had run out after removing the rocks from under the fence in the courtyard of the owner's house and attacked the woman. All dogs in custody will be given the death penalty.
