Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said on Sunday that the country is rapidly producing new generation weapons to protect itself from enemies like Europe, America and Australia. "We are producing the most powerful weapons of destruction, based on new principles," Medvedev said on the messaging app Telegram. However, he did not give further details about the weapons. He further said that our enemies are not limited to Kyiv province only. It is to be known that Medvedev is also currently the Deputy Head of the Security Council of Russia.
Russia is manufacturing modern weapons
President Vladimir Putin has also stated several times that Russia is developing new types of weapons, including hypersonic weapons, that can defeat all currently existing missile defense systems. It is known that Putin sent troops to Ukraine on February 24, after which 57-year-old Medvedev has been regularly taking support of social media to keep his point.
Russia can use nuclear weapons
Russia has not yet found success in western Ukraine. It is feared that Russia may also use nuclear weapons to capture the region and achieve military success. President Putin said on Friday that Russia could revise its military doctrine by introducing the possibility of a preemptive strike against an enemy, in an apparent reference to a nuclear strike. The Kemlin chief also claimed that Russia's cruise missiles and hypersonic systems are more advanced and extremely powerful than those of the US.
