Badshah has apologized by sharing a post on social media after protesting against 'Sanak'. The album was opposed by the priests of Mahakal for using the name of Lord Shiva with obscene words in the song.

Badshah wrote that if Bholenath's name has been hurt knowingly or unknowingly by taking Bholenath's name in the song of Sanak album, I apologize to him. Let me tell you, the priests and sages of Mahakal temple had objected to the use of Mahadev's name with objectionable words on a song of Sanak album and warned of FIR if the song was not changed.

On 19 April 2023, Pandit Mahesh Sharma, the priest of Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple, objected to the fact that rapper Badshah had taken the name of Bholenath with obscene words in the song of his new album Sanak, he warned that if rapper Badshah used this song If Bholenath's name is not removed from the FIR, an FIR will be registered against him Court will also be taken while getting it done.
Along with Pandit Mahesh Sharma, Mahamandaleshwar Acharya Shekhar, revolutionary saint Avdhesh Puri Maharaj, Hinduism leader Ankit Choubey also protested against this song and spoke of publicly apologizing for the language.
