Israel avenged the death of 12 innocent people, entered Lebanon and killed Hezbollah commander
The Israeli army targeted a Hezbollah commander in Beirut late Tuesday night in an airstrike. The IDF said in a statement that Fuad Shukr, the most senior Hezbollah military commander, was killed in the Israeli attack. A few days ago, Hezbollah launched a rocket attack in Israel's Golan, killing 12 children, after which Israel retaliated.

Lebanon condemned the Israeli attack

Lebanon's Foreign Minister Abdullah Habib said that his government is preparing to file a complaint with the United Nations. Russia has called the Israeli attack on Beirut a violation of international law. Russia's state news agency TASS reported that the firing in Lebanon's capital Beirut was a "gross violation of international law".
Fear of escalation of tensions between Hezbollah and Israel
Meanwhile, White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre said the US does not believe that a war between Hezbollah and Israel is inevitable. US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said he is concerned about the possibility of escalation of tensions between Hezbollah and Israel. However, he believes that the conflict can be prevented. Conflict is not inevitable.
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant posted on X after Tuesday's attack, Hezbollah has crossed the red line. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office has not yet issued a statement. According to Hezbollah's TV station, an Israeli airstrike hit a Hezbollah stronghold south of Beirut on Tuesday evening. Several buildings were damaged in the attack.
