Nepal Plane Crash: A 72-seater passenger plane crashed on the runway at Pokhara International Airport in Nepal. Rescue work is going on after the accident and at present the airport has been closed. Nepal Police said that 35 bodies have been recovered so far. This aircraft was going to Pokhara from Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal.

According to the news of Kathmandu Post, the plane crashed between the old airport and Pokhara International Airport. A total of 68 passengers and four crew members were on board the Yeti Airlines aircraft. There were also 8 foreign nationals in the plane. Another important thing has come to light that the plane caught fire in the air itself and after that the plane crashed. 

Accident during landing

According to media reports, the aircraft first caught fire and then crashed on the runway during landing. Please tell that the area of ​​Pokhara airport is surrounded by hills. Eyewitnesses saw plumes of smoke after the accident. 

Efforts to extinguish the garden continue

Another important thing has come to the fore. The weather in Kathmandu was bad and Yeti Airline's ATR-72 aircraft took off on time. Captain Kamal KC was flying this plane. Yeti Airlines spokesperson Sudarshan Bartaula told that efforts are being made to extinguish the fire. With this, the rescue operation has also started.

Local official Gurudutt Dhakal told AFP that the wreckage was on fire and rescue workers were trying to extinguish it. Gurudutt Dhakal said, "Rescue teams and rescue workers are present on the spot. All agencies are first engaged in extinguishing the fire.
