Video of a woman traveling in very 'short clothes' in Delhi Metro goes viral, DMRC issues this warning.
In a video viral on social media, the woman is seen sitting inside a metro coach in 'short clothes' along with other female passengers. Later the woman gets up and leaves from there.
A video of a woman traveling in a Delhi Metro coach purportedly in 'short clothes' is doing the rounds on social media.
In a statement, the Delhi Metro said, "DMRC expects its commuters to follow all social etiquettes and protocols that are acceptable in the society."
According to the statement, "The passengers should not indulge in any such activity or wear any dress which may hurt the sensibilities of other passengers."
The Delhi Metro said that the DMRC's Operation and Maintenance Act lists 'obscenity' as an offense punishable under section 59. “We appeal to all our passengers to please maintain decorum while traveling in public transport system like Metro. However, issues such as choice of clothing while traveling is a personal issue and passengers are expected to self-regulate their conduct in a responsible manner"
