In the survey, Truss has put an almost 38 per cent lead over Sunak. Truss, a member of the current cabinet, was supported by 69 per cent of those surveyed, while 31 per cent in favor of Sunak. It is noteworthy that in the survey conducted by YouGov on July 20, where Truss got 62 percent support, while 38 percent people were seen in favor of Sunak. According to the survey, 83 percent of the members who were in favor of the truss said that they have made up their mind to support it, while 17 percent said that they can change their mind.
60 percent of the Conservative Party members said they would vote for the truss, while 26 percent supported Sunak. The rest are still unable to decide with whom to support. Surveys indicate that truss is running ahead of Sunak in all age groups and different parts of the country. Sunak has an edge over Truss in only one category, and that is the support of party members who supported Britain's stay in the European Union in 2016. However, it is contradictory that Sunak supported Brexit (withdrawal from the European Union) while Truss favored remaining in the union.
