Kyiv urged Western countries to swiftly consider increasing military aid amid the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine would still have to make strenuous efforts to ensure supplies of the advanced armored vehicles.

The war between Russia and Ukraine is going on for the last 11 months. In such a situation, Ukraine needs big tanks to gain an edge in the war against Russia and the western countries had long promised to give tanks to Kyiv. Despite this, the tanks have not been supplied yet. Meanwhile, a senior adviser to President Volodymyr Zelensky has urged his allies to rapidly consider increasing military aid.

Received advice to avoid a big attack

America has advised Ukraine to avoid a major attack. Explain that the US official has said that until Kyiv gets the supply of advanced weapons and training of soldiers, a major attack against the Russian army should be postponed.

It is known that no decision has been taken on the export of Leopard tanks in the meeting at Ramstein military base in Germany. However, Germany's Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said that if an agreement is reached, it will be acted upon swiftly. Meanwhile the White House said the US would impose further sanctions next week against Russia's dreaded Wagner Group. 

Ukrainian army will take training in Poland

Zelensky said in a video address that Ukraine would still have to make strenuous efforts to ensure supplies of the advanced armored vehicles. Meanwhile, Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said that even if there is no agreement in Western countries to give Leopard tanks, the Ukrainian army will still train these tanks in Poland. NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg on military supplies to Ukraine said pro-Ukraine countries should focus on sending advanced weapons to Kyiv as well as maintaining supplies of ammunition for old weapons.
