Sudden fainting can be a symptom of cardiac arrest, this is how to protect

Cardiac arrest cases have been on the rise in the last few months. People are falling prey to this heart disease at an early age. In many cases, the patient is dying on the spot. Doctors say that this disease is increasing due to poor lifestyle, wrong eating habits and Kovid epidemic. This is such a serious disease of the heart, in which most of the people lose their lives. In case of cardiac arrest, the heart suddenly stops working. Due to this, oxygen is not supplied to the necessary organs and the patient dies.

Cardiologist Dr Ajit Jain explains that in some cases the symptoms of cardiac arrest are already visible. If it is recognized and treated on time, then the possibility of death can be reduced.

These are the symptoms of cardiac arrest

  • Patient falls unconscious due to cardiac arrest
  • The pulse rate drops rapidly and the heart stops beating
  • Have trouble breathing
  • BP starts falling rapidly

Do this work in case of cardiac arrest

Dr Jain explains that if a person has suddenly fallen unconscious around you, then first of all check his heart beat and breath. If there is breathlessness and the heart beat is decreasing, give CPR immediately. For this, keeping both hands on the patient's chest, press the chest downwards 80 to 100 times per minute. Along with this, give breath through your mouth. Keep doing this until medical help arrives.

Dr Jain says that in case of cardiac arrest, if CPR is given to the patient on time, then the risk of death can be reduced by 50 percent. For this it is also necessary that people should be aware about cardiac arrest and its symptoms. Also know the importance of CPR. People should be informed about CPR in all government offices and public places. For this, training can also be done in the presence of a healthcare worker.
