Suggestion of the central government, the state should decide on opening the school, vaccination of 95 percent teachers and school staff is complete

In view of the completion of large-scale vaccination of teachers and other staff and the decline in the third wave of Corona, the Center has asked the states to take a decision on opening schools. Sweety Changsan, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Education said that the guidelines have already been amended in this regard after consultations with the states. At the same time, Dr VK Pal, member of NITI Aayog and head of the Taskforce on Immunization, said that the Center only wants that the corona protocol should be ensured in the event of the school opening.
Requirement of parental consent removed
According to Sweety Changsan, more than 95 percent of school teachers and other staff in the country have been fully vaccinated. According to him, in the new guidelines issued after consultation with the states, the requirement of parental consent for physical presence of students in the school has been removed. Now the state government and the local administration have been given freedom to take a decision in this regard. He made it clear that according to the new guidelines, the state government and local administration are free to take the decision to open the school.
Schools can be opened due to most vaccinations
Emphasizing on the need to open schools, Dr VK Pal said that due to Corona, there has been a lot of damage to the education of the children. This is a matter of concern for the entire country. He said that earlier it was not possible to open schools without vaccination, but now schools can be opened due to vaccination of most of the teachers and staff.
Corona infection rate below five percent in 265 districts of the country
He said that now it is possible to open schools and physical classes are also possible. According to him, the rate of corona infection has come down below five percent in 265 districts of the country, schools as well as other activities can be fully allowed in these districts.
