EU united against Russia but divided on the issue of energy crisis, EU is worried about winters
The whole of Europe is facing an energy crisis due to the war between Ukraine and Russia. A conference is also being held in Paraguay regarding this. In this, discussion is going on to overcome this crisis, but no single opinion has been formed on it.
The problems of the European Union, which is facing an energy crisis due to the Russia-Ukraine war, have increased significantly. All the member countries are upset due to the closure of gas coming from Russia. Despite this, EU member countries are divided on how to deal with this problem. Because of this, the EU has not been able to reach any single conclusion to overcome this problem. Actually, this issue is being discussed continuously in the ongoing EU conference in Paraguay. 44 European leaders have participated in this conference. These include 27 leaders of the European Union.
Russia to blame for energy crisis
In this conference, while all the countries have blamed Russia in one voice for the energy crisis, there is no single opinion on how to deal with it. Concerns have also been raised in this conference about gas leakage from the Nord Stream 1 gas pipeline lying under the Baltic Sea. For this also the EU has blamed Russia's attacks. It has been said in the conference that due to Russian attacks, this gas pipeline has been troubled and gas is leaking. In this conference, in-depth discussion is going on to reduce the rising gas prices and to get rid of the other problems that have emerged from it.
Rise in gas prices
Let us tell you that since Russia's attack on Ukraine, Europe is facing an energy crisis. Along with this, gas prices in the international market are skyrocketing. French media said that the executive head of the EU, Ursula von der Leyen, has suggested some measures to the members to deal with the energy crisis. However, member countries have different opinions on these. Another conference is to be held in Brussels at the end of this month on other issues, including the energy crisis. Leyen has appealed to the member countries that everyone will have to agree on one point, then only this problem can be resolved.
Winter is a big problem
Europe's biggest concern is also about winter. Europe is worried about how the winters will be cut without gas. Some small countries have taken some measures as an alternative to Russia's gas, but still they fail to meet their energy needs. Russia has not been invited to attend the ongoing conference in Paraguay.
