'We will defeat everyone', Zelensky's strong message on completion of one year of Russia Ukraine war

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed people on Friday to mark the first anniversary of Russia's invasion. During this he said – We will defeat everyone.

In a video titled 'The Year of Invincibility' released to the media, Zelensky said, "A year ago on this same day from the same place around seven o'clock in the morning I addressed you with a short statement, which lasted only 67 seconds"

'We are strong'

In his 15-minute speech, Zelensky said, "...we are strong. We are ready for anything. We will defeat everyone. It started on February 24, 2022. The longest day of our lives. Our condition Toughest day in U.S. history. We woke up early and haven't slept since."

Casualties exceed one lakh

Western military officials estimate that casualties on both sides exceed a million killed or wounded in the largest conflict in Europe since World War II. Thousands of civilians were also killed, while millions fled the threat of fighting.

Zelensky said, "Almost everyone has at least one contact on their phone who will never pick up the phone again, the one who won't answer SMS asking how are you?" Let me tell you, there is no possibility of ending the war between Russia and Ukraine soon.

Zelensky, who has been instrumental in securing financial and military aid from around the world to maintain Ukrainian security in the face of a much larger military, praised his men. "We have become one big army. We have become a team where everyone contributes," he said.
