The US has accused Russia of spreading propaganda about biological weapons. US State Department spokesman Ned Price said Russia has called a UNSC meeting in an effort to use the UN platform to spread propaganda about biological and chemical weapons.

Ned Price said Russian authorities have detained some 14,000 protesters protesting the war since February 24. He also said that lakhs of people have fled the country to take refuge from this needless war. By waging an unjust war on a peaceful neighbor, Putin is tackling discontent in his own country and tightening his grip on the protests.

A State Department spokesperson also said that the Commerce Department has imposed new controls on the export of US luxury goods to Russia and Belarus. "We have also imposed import restrictions on Russian wine, seafood and non-industrial diamonds," he said. Ned Price said, "We will remain committed and united with Ukraine." There will be no respite for Russia from sanctions or other costs imposed by us and these sanctions will remain on Russia until Putin turns his back on his brutal aggression.

At the same time, John Kirby, press secretary of the US Defense Agency Pentagon, said that this is an election battle. President Putin can at least stop the bombing and destruction for now by agreeing to a diplomatic position. He is doing this against a country that has neither provoked nor posed any threat to Russia.
