Britain will give 14 Challenger tanks and 30 cannons to Ukraine, 21 deaths due to missile attack in Dnipro

The death toll in the Russian missile attack on a multi-storey residential building in the Ukrainian city of Dnipro has risen to 21. The attack took place on Saturday. The bodies and the injured are being found buried under the debris of the building. Some of the injured who were in critical condition have also died in the hospital. 73 people were injured in the attack while 35 are missing. Meanwhile, Britain has announced the delivery of 14 Challenger tanks and 30 howitzers to Ukraine.

The bodies of the dead and the injured were pulled out from under the debris in a night-long rescue operation. The head of the regional council, Lukashuk, said that 38 people, including six children, had been rescued. Saturday's Russian attack on power plants has left large parts of Ukraine in darkness. This has also affected the water supply. 

Temperature below zero degree 

Russian attacks on power plants in the period of extreme cold have worsened the condition of Ukraine. Children and the elderly are facing immense hardship in the sub-zero degree Celsius temperature. The Supreme Military Command of Ukraine has reported that the Russian army carried out three airstrikes, 57 missile strikes and 69 rocket strikes on Saturday. Ukrainian defense system destroyed 26 missiles and rockets in the sky. 

Europe will consider new military aid

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky has demanded tanks, cannons and fighter planes from allied countries to compete with Russia. America, France, Britain and Poland have announced to give tanks to Ukraine. New military aid to Ukraine will be considered at a meeting of European countries to be held in Germany next Friday.
