Elon Musk's company, which became X from Twitter, has suffered a major setback. X is shutting down its operations in Brazil with immediate effect. Social media platform X gave this information on Saturday and the company has blamed Brazil's top judge Alexandre de Moraes for this decision.

X company said - we were intimidated and threatened

X's Global Government Affairs Team, through its official handle, has accused Alexandre de Moraes of threatening to arrest its legal representative in Brazil for not complying with censorship orders and said that instead of following the law, Moraes intimidated and threatened his employees in Brazil.

Reuters has reported that the social media giant published photos of a document allegedly signed by Moraes, which states that a fine of 20,000 reais ($3,653) per day and an arrest order will be imposed against X representative Rachel Nova Conceição if the platform does not fully comply with Moraes' orders.

Elon Musk expressed his reaction

X also said that our service is available to the people of Brazil. This means that now X will close its offices in Brazil but will operate the services remotely. X also said that we are deeply saddened that we have been forced to do this. X owner Elon Musk has also reacted to the decision and called Alexandre de Moraes' decision a gross insult to justice.
