CBSE reveals evaluation policy, results to be ready by July 31.

The Supreme Court on Thursday heard a petition seeking cancellation of the Class XII examination. On behalf of CBSE, Attorney General KK Venugopal said that the Class XII results will be prepared on the basis of marks of 3 subjects who have scored the highest marks out of 5 subjects in class X and XI. It will also base the marks obtained in the class XII unit, term, and practical examinations.

30:30:40 The panel is in favor of the formula

The Central government told the Supreme Court that the committee constituted by CBSE is in favor of preparing the class XII results under the 30:30:40 formula. That is, CBSE will take 30% of the final result of class 10th + 30% of the final result of class 11th + 40% of class 12 pre-board result for class 12th board results. Each school will have to set up a result committee to consider the marks of the students obtained in all three examinations, which will be examined by the Moderation Committee of CBSE.

Results to come by July 31

The Centre also told the Supreme Court that the CBSE will declare the class XII results by July 31. On the other hand, the Supreme Court said that there should be a mechanism to address the complaint about the marks obtained by the students after the results are declared. On this, the Attorney General said that he would seek advice from the authorities.

If you are dissatisfied with the result, you will be able to take the exam

The Attorney General also said that students who score through the current mechanism/student should be able to get marks through the current system. Not satisfied with grading, they can improve their results or improve their marks by appearing in physical examinations. The Supreme Court has asked CBSE to fix the date of examination.
