According to information, the lives of lakhs of people have been affected by the heavy rains and storms. More than 76,000 people in the San Francisco Bay Area and more than 19,000 people in coastal areas are without power because of the storm. Along with this, dozens of flights to different cities have been canceled and some schools have also been closed. 

Chance of heavy snow and rain

At the same time, in view of the situation, the governor has appealed to the people not to venture out. He has estimated that this situation can be quite frightening compared to the last five years.

According to information, there is a possibility of storm surge in northern California during the night. The National Weather Service (NWS) predicts 3 to 6 inches of heavy rainfall with up to 3 feet of fresh snow in the Sierras.

The NWS said the storm is expected to disrupt power supply in several areas, including downed trees, damaged homes and downed power lines. Bad weather forced San Francisco's transit agency to suspend its cable car service until Thursday and hundreds of commercial flights were canceled at San Francisco International Airport.
