For the first time, VVIP aircraft 'Air India One' flew over foreign land for PM Modi, know its specialty
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has embarked on a foreign trip for the first time since the beginning of the Corona epidemic.
Prime Minister Modi arrived in Bangladesh on a two-day visit today , where he will participate in a number of events aimed at furthering cooperation between the two countries. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit is also special because India's new VVIP aircraft 'Air India One' has embarked on a foreign trip for the first time. The VVIP aircraft that PM Modi has flown to Bangladesh is the same aircraft that has been sourced from the US and will be visited by the President, Vice President and Prime Minister of India.
The first B777 aircraft specially built for the President, Vice President and Prime Minister's visit arrived in India from the US on October 1. The aircraft was to be handed over to Air India by aircraft manufacturer Boeing in July itself, but it was delayed twice. First delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, then delayed by a few weeks due to technical reasons. Both of these aircraft were part of the commercial fleet of Air India for a few months in 2018, which were then flown to Dallas, the US, to be exclusively recreated for VVIP travel.
According to the officials, the total cost of purchase and reconstruction of both the aircraft is estimated to be around Rs 8,400 crore. The B777 aircraft have a state-of-the-art anti-missile system, called Large Aircraft Infrared Countermeasures and Self-Protection Suits (SPS). It was earlier reported that both B777 aircraft would be flown by the Indian Air Force (IAF) pilots, not the Air India pilots, during the VVIP trip. However, who was blowing today has not been reported.
This aircraft will provide impenetrable security
Air India One is equipped with advance and secure communication system that allows to take advantage of audio and video communication function (without hack or hack) even in the air. It is believed that, like the US President's Air Force One, Air India aircraft is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and is quite safe and impervious. It also has the ability to counter-attack enemy attacks. This aircraft has all the resources to deal with any emergency.
What else is unique?
Other features of the aircraft will also surprise you. The B777 aircraft have state-of-the-art missile defense systems, called Large Aircraft Infrared Countermeasures (LAIRCM) and Self Protection Suits (SPS). In February, the US agreed to sell these two to India at a price of $ 19 million. Both the aircraft are being fitted with such security devices that can thwart the biggest attack. Even the missile attack on this aircraft will have no effect and it will also be able to counter attack. Currently, the Prime Minister, the President and the Vice President travel by Air India's B747 aircraft carrying the Air India One symbol.
