Indian-origin student murdered in US, Korean roommate under suspicion; police arrested

According to local media reports, the youth's roommate has been taken into custody after the murder. Varun Manish Chheda of Indiana Police was a student of Purdue University.
Varun's body was found at the McCutcheon Hall on the western side of the campus. A university student was arrested on Wednesday on charges of murder, police said. Ji Min Jimmy Sha is of Korean origin who used to share room with Varun. He informed about the murder over the phone at 12:45 pm. Police Chief Lesley Wiete gave full information in a news conference. No further details were given about the period. Varun was studying data science at the university. The authority said the incident took place in a room on the first floor of McCutcheon Hall. Many times Varun died of sharp injuries and wounds caused by it.
