Women are crying bitterly

Village resident Ninga Roll has posted a touching video on social media. As can be seen in the video, the people of the village are losing consciousness in search of survivors. Rural residents can be seen climbing rocks, uprooted trees and earthen mounds. Also, women can be heard crying in the background of the video.

Earlier, Ninga Roll had told that he too had lost four members of his family in this landslide. Prime Minister James Marape has also expressed his views on this incident. He said that disaster officials and defense forces have started trying to provide assistance to rural residents.
