Military base closed after armed man found in America, gunshots heard

A military base in Washington was closed on Friday after reports of an armed man being sighted. Local police said gunshots were heard in the streets near the military base and one of the gunmen fled to the ground. Police said that no one was injured in the firing.

Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling posted a note on its Facebook page, which said the military base was being put on lockdown. The notice said the man was seen on the south side of the military base. The Naval Support Facility at the northern end of the base is used by Marine Helicopter Squadron One. It is a fleet of helicopters, which carry the President and the Vice President.

The post said that if you encounter a person and you have a safe way, then run away. If you don't have a safe way to escape, hide. Barricading your door. Switch off the lights and ringer of the mobile phone. If you are in hiding, prepare to fight. Officials initially said they were looking for two people. But later reports said that there is only one person there.
