Gunmen open indiscriminate fire at birthday party in South Africa, killed, 3 injured

Gunmen opened fire on a group of people celebrating a birthday in a South African town, killing eight people and wounding three others. The police gave this information on Monday.

The birthday man was among those killed in a mass shooting in the southern port city of Gkebera, formerly Port Elizabeth.

"The owner of the house was celebrating his birthday when two unidentified gunmen entered the compound on 'Sunday evening' and began shooting at the guests," police said in a statement. Police informed that, 'Eight people died, while three others are still fighting for life in the hospital. The owner of the house is also included in the dead. The motive behind the attack is not yet known.
