Russia: Huge number of supporters in protest for Navalny.

Fear of freezing cold and a ban on protests has left the supporters of jailed opposition leader untouched.

Standing strong against the extreme cold and overlooking the ban on protests ,the supporters of Kremlin Critic Alexei Navalny emerged in number of thousands  across Russia. The security forces then detained more than 3,000 people and tore through the mob violently.

It was found through the statement of prosecutors in St Petersburg  that force was used against a middle-aged woman who fell down to the ground after being kicked by riot police.

The woman was identified then as Margarita Yudina. In a video she asks three policemen in full riot gear why was a young unarmed protester detained. The answer to her question was a kick in her stomach by one of the policemen.

Yudina was later hospitalised Saturday night with a head injury as informed by a representative of Saint Petersburg's Dzhanelidze hospital.
Now she is in serious condition and is in intensive care.

The protest was executed in response to the unappreciated behaviour towards Navalny by the state security agents. While on his way to Russia from Germany Navalny was arrested. He was poisoned with a nerve agent that he claims to be applied to his underpants by state security agents in August.

German Foreign Minister Heinko Maas stated -"everyone in Russia has the right to express their opinion and to demonstrate" under the Russian constitution.

Russian authorities are called on by the U.S. "to release all those detained for exercising their universal rights and for the immediate and unconditional release"of Navalny.
U.S. is urging Russia "to fully cooperate with the international community's investigation into the poisoning" of the Kremlin Critic, and "credibly explain the use of a chemical weapon on its soil."

Saturday night about 3,200 people were arrested including Navalny's wife, Yulia, and his aide, politician Lyubov Sobol. Not even journalists were excused from the detention.
