S Jaishankar arrived in New York: UN General Assembly session from today
Jaishankar will address the session of the General Assembly starting from September 20 on September 24. India's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Ruchira Kamboj tweeted that Jaishankar is welcome to attend the 77th session of the United Nations.
Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar arrived in New York on Sunday to attend the United Nations General Assembly session. Jaishankar will address the session of the General Assembly starting from September 20 on September 24. India's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Ruchira Kamboj tweeted that Jaishankar is welcome to attend the 77th session of the United Nations. He said that the External Affairs Minister will also participate in more than 50 bilateral and multilateral meetings on the sidelines of the session.
Terrorism, peacekeeping, pluralism, climate change etc. will be the main issues from India's side in the United Nations General Assembly. Ruchira informed that Jaishankar will attend bilateral meetings with his counterparts from Albania, Malta, Egypt and Indonesia on the first day. He will also participate in the trilateral meeting of France, India and UAE. India's Permanent Mission to the United Nations posted the video saying that the five <srts>s<sg-ts>s <srts> will direct India in the 77th session of the General Assembly for respect, dialogue, cooperation, peace and prosperity, as set by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
