South Korea has been testing ballistic missiles for the past several months. Meanwhile, the US and South Korean forces have jointly conducted a joint military exercise. According to the report, the US Air Force plans to test B-1B bombers in the US-South Korea joint military exercise on Saturday.

Seoul and Washington have been conducting aerial exercises in Vigilant Storms since Monday. It has been extended for one more day till Saturday.

Both countries insisted on increasing the defense budget

South Korean and US defense chiefs in Washington on Thursday focused on increasing their defense budgets in response to North Korea's tests. South Korea's Minister of National Defense Lee Jong-sup, speaking with his US counterpart Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, said that the US has agreed to deploy strategic assets at an equivalent level of continuous deployment.

US urges South Korea to send warplanes

South Korea has urged the US to send more nuclear-capable warplanes and ships to the region. North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has intensified missile tests and warned of his potential for strategic nuclear strikes against the South.
