US National Security Advisor (NSA) Jake Sullivan has congratulated the first batch of Quad fellows from Australia, India, Japan and the US, saying the young fellows will bring the Quad countries closer. The leaders of the Quad countries launched the Quad Fellowship during the Quad Summit in May this year, which is the first of its kind scholarship program. It has been created with the aim of creating dialogue between the next generation of scientists and technologists of the four member countries.
25 students from each country are involved
It is known that under this fellowship, scholarship is provided every year to 100 students wishing to pursue master's and doctoral degrees from leading STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) universities in America. These include 25-25 students from each member country. Announcing this, US Security Advisor Sullivan appreciated the participation of the fellow members.
Quad reached heights under the leadership of President Biden
He added that each of these fellows has demonstrated their commitment to furthering innovation and collaboration between our four great democracies. They have also demonstrated enthusiasm towards building a better tomorrow for the Indo-Pacific region as well as the world. He said, 'The Quad partnership has been taken to unprecedented heights under President Joe Biden's administration and will grow further in the years to come. These youth will bring the Quad countries closer. Seeing his spirit, we are sure that our future is in the right hands.
