According to news agency AP, Ilaha, a medical student in Kabul, released a video on internet media accusing Taliban Interior Ministry spokesman Saeed Khosti of rape and assault.
After the video surfaced, the top court said Ilaha was arrested on charges of defamation for not obeying the order of Chief Justice Abdur Hakim Haqqani. "No one is allowed to defame the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan or the holy jihad," the court said.
It is noteworthy that Ilaha, the daughter of a former National Security General, had mentioned the atrocities that happened to her in the video. Khosti forcibly married her and began torturing her daily. He tried to flee to the neighboring country of Pakistan but was caught by the border security forces and locked in an apartment. Ilaha said Khosti would not leave her alive after the video surfaced.
