America: A Child accidentally entered White House, Secret Service handed over to parents

A child accidentally entered the White House by slipping from the iron fence surrounding the White House of America. After which the US Secret Service came into action.

Secret Service communications chief Anthony Guglielmi said the child had gotten through the fence on the north side of the White House, reports CNN. Immediately after which the Secret Service took action.

The child was near the northern fence line

Guglielmi said, "The Secret Service Uniformed Division today found a child near the North Fence Line of the White House who had entered the White House grounds. White House security systems immediately triggered Secret Service officers.

At the same time, he handed over the child to his parents after a while. The BBC reported that entry to the White House was temporarily restricted and that President Joe Biden was also present inside the White House at the time of the incident.

64 million dollar fence

The $64 million fence that surrounds the White House is 13 feet tall. It is nearly double the size of its previous height, which was recently extended during a construction project to increase White House security. This is not the first time that a child has come inside the White House fence, but such an incident has happened before.

Child entered before Barack Obama's address

Notably, in 2014, a child climbed through the White House fence just before then-President Barack Obama was to address the nation on Iraq. At that time Barack Obama's address was delayed and movement in the White House was also restricted for some time.
