Time passed and Mary got married to a young man named Joseph. God's angel Gabriel came in Joseph's dream and told him that soon Mary would be pregnant and he would have to take special care of her because her future child was none other than Jesus himself. At that time Joseph and Mary used to live in Nazareth which is currently a part of Israel. At that time Nazareth was a part of the Roman Empire. 

Once, for some reason, Joseph and Mary went to Bethlehem, which is now in Palestine, for some work, there were so many people in those days that all the hospices and shelters were full, so that Joseph and Mary could not find shelter for themselves.

The importance of Christmas is very high for Christians. This festival is celebrated on the occasion of the birth of Jesus. Very few people will be aware that the festival of Christmas is not of one day but of 12 days and this festival starts from the eve of Christmas.
