Among these is BF.7 which is adept at dodging immunity and it is believed that the current wave is the result of this. Experts believe that partially immunized populations like China put more pressure on the virus to mutate. There is also an unanswered question whether this virus will give rise to other serious diseases.
Flaw in China's vaccination
Experts say there is no biological reason to expect the virus to weaken over time. The weakening that we have seen in the virus between the last six to twelve months was due to accumulated immunity or vaccination. Most of the Chinese people were not exposed to the virus. Along with this, China's vaccination was based on the old method. In which fewer antibodies are produced than RNA vaccines.
