Japan made strict changes in COVID-19 rules, all people coming from China will have to undergo investigation

Japan's Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said on Tuesday that Japan will tighten movement controls to deal with the growing number of COVID-19 infections, and as a temporary emergency measure, all people arriving from China will be subject to mandatory COVID-19 testing.

Japan started COVID investigation

Japan has started COVID testing for all people coming from China since Friday itself. This has been done because there is a danger of increasing infection due to increase in the number of people moving out in the new year. The quantitative antigen test, previously conducted only on people suspected of having COVID-19, has been made mandatory for everyone arriving from China. Those coming positive will be quarantined for seven days and their samples will be used for genome analysis.

Lack of information and transparency about infection in China

Japan's prime minister said that due to a lack of information and transparency about the infection in China, it is difficult to determine security measures and evaluate their effectiveness. In such a situation, it is necessary to investigate all the people coming from China. It is worth mentioning that earlier this year, Japan had stopped COVID-19 investigation of those coming from outside who had also got booster vaccines along with its full vaccine.

It has also been decided to stop the plan to increase the number of flights to China for the time being. Kishida further explained that these measures will not change Japan's policy of moving towards an anti-Covid lifestyle and controlling domestic infections.

Coronavirus test report needed

On the other hand, despite increasing infections, China has announced that from January 8, passengers coming from outside the country will not have to undergo quarantine. Passengers will only need to have a corona negative report and wear a mask in flight. According to China, according to the changing circumstances, they are also intensifying their fight against COVID.
